This is the pride and the flagship activity of the group. It has a massive combined capacity of 5 million birds and constantly increasing. But more important than the numbers is the tremendous focus on quality and a significant investment in infrastructure technology, skills and system management. All the Broiler farms are environmentally controlled, equipped with computerized automatic feeding with silos and nipple drinking system. This ensures minimal chance of contamination through human contact.

Ready for consumption birds are taken to the group's own retail and wholesale outlets. There are over 130 such outlets, which cater to a demand from hotels as well as homes. The company also operates over 200 caged trucks, which are used to take the birds from the farms to the outlets.

Inspired by best practices in developed countries, a more recent and novel initiative by the IB Group is the fact that it has begun to work in partnership with other farmers in the management of its broiler units. This has created a win-win situation for the farmers as well as for IB Group.
